Certified Audit of Circulations was established in 1956 as a
not-for-profit circulation audit and research organization serving publishers,
advertisers and advertising agencies. Today, we remain committed to our primary
mission: the objective, accurate and reliable reporting of circulation data and
market information for the benefit of our members.
The CAC Difference
CAC was created as a not-for-profit organization to meet the need for an
objective third-party source of certified circulation data. This unbiased audit
process supports both publishers and advertisers. Publishers need credible
independent validation of their circulation claims to attract and maintain
advertising revenue. Advertisers, in turn, need certified circulation data to
make confident, informed media buying decisions.
CAC is a member of the International Federation of Audit
Bureaux of Circulations
(IFABC), the Advertising Research Foundation (ARF), and other leading industry
associations.
